"North Metro Fire Rescue District Art Project - "Firefighters as Community Helpers."
Open to artists ages 3 and up who live within the district, which includes Broomfield, Northglenn and unincorporated areas of Boulder, Adams and Jefferson counties.
"...Want.. artists` interpretation of how they see firefighters as community helpers," spokeswoman Wendy Forbes said.
Deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. Nov. 5. Art should be submitted at North Metro headquarters, 10550 Huron St. in Northglenn.
North Metro Fire Rescue District is hoping the community will take an interest in its brand-new headquarters building at the northwest corner of Lamar Street and First Avenue and is inviting local painters, photographers, sculptors and other creative minds to submit art that will be displayed in several locations in the headquarters for years to come."
